Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to measure the concentration of substrate selectively, by coexisting the copper enzyme taking the copper as the center of activity without being affected with the interference substance of coexisting, in the enzyme electrode consisting of redox compound and the oxygen and reduction enzyme in conjugate.
CONSTITUTION: On the electric collector such as graphite, the redox compound such as chloran 1, oxygen and reduction enzyme in conjugation and the copper enzyme taking the copper as the center of activity are fixed to constitute the enzyme electrode. As the oxygen and reduction enzyme, glucoseoxidase, xanthineoxidase, and cholesteroloxidase, and as copper enzyme, uricase and ascorbic acid oxidase can be listed up. Thus, in case of measurement of glucose in blood and food, by using the electrode fixing glucoseoxidase and uricase, the amount of glucose can be measured without being subject to the urea as interference substance.
