Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize stepwise heating and uniform penetration of water by packaging with an air-permeable packing material the easily openable water container composed of at least two sealed water-filling portions and a heat-generative composition which generates heat upon contact with water and oxygen. CONSTITUTION:A heat-generative composition 1 composed of powder of a metal such as iron, copper, zinc, etc., singly or mixed with a reaction assistant such as common salte, manganess chloride, etc., or a water-retaining agent such as active carbon, silica gel, etc., is contained in a water-penetratable pouch 2, and this pouch is packaged by a packing material 9 together with a water container 3 containing water 6 in its at least two sealed water-containing portions 5 sectioned by heat seal 4. A cut 7 is formed at the heat-sealed portion 4 of the water container 3, and a thread 8 is fixed in said cut 7, said thread 8 being left outside of the packing material 9. A water-proof film is preferably used for the water container 3 side of the packing material 9, while a porous plastic film and an air-permeable material capable of adjusting air permeation, such as non-woven fabric, flannel, etc., are suited for the heat-generative composition side of the packing material 9.
