Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform accurate control for stoppage in a commanded position, by detecting an extreme error value which is a largest overshoot length and by generating a rectangular-wave driving current for a servomotor to be rotated again toward the commanded position, for a time corresponding to the extreme error value.
CONSTITUTION: The output of a position sensor for a servomotor is changed into a digital value of several bits by an A-D convension circuit 4. The digital value is applied to a control unit 8, which is made of a microcomputer or the like. After the control unit detects the time of passing over a commanded position, the unit samples the output of the position sensor at a prescribed period. At each sampling, the control unit 8 compares the preceding and present sampled values with each other to detect a peak value. When the control unit detects the peak value, the unit produces a latch timing signal LT to cause a peak value latch circuit 5 to latch the digital value supplied from the circuit 4. At the same time, a trigger signal is applied to a monomultivibrator 6. The output of the monomultivibrator is entered into a differentiation circuit 7 to generate a motor turn-off timing signal MOT.
