Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve the miniaturization of the image forming device by letting the conveying direction of an optical exposure device, etc. for forming latent images and the conveying direction of recording paper intersect perpendicularly. CONSTITUTION:Primary latent images are formed on a screen photoreceptor 7 by charging and exposure at the moving of an optical scanning device 6 provided with a charging electrode 6a along guide bars 8... On the other hand, the recording paper 1 having been conveyed in the direction orthogonal to the moving direction of the device 6 by way of a cutter 3 is vacuum-sucked to a conveying device 5 and moves together with the conveying device 5 and moves together with the conveying device 5 which is conveyed in the same direction as the device 6 along the bars 8..., then the prmary latent images of the photoreceptor 7 is transferred onto the recording paper 1 by way of a transfer electrode 18. The secondary latent images thus formed are developed in a developing device 9 at the backward moving of the device 5. As the vacuum suction is released at the resetting of the device 5 to its home position, the recording paper 5 is discharged in the same direction as that in paper feeding. This constitution miniaturizes the image forming device.
