Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve transmission efficiency within the extent of buffer capacity by dividing text length, to be sent in response to single polling, into blocks, by adding a check character to every block, and then by incorporating only a block, where an error occurs, in a following block. CONSTITUTION:The number of characters of texts X1, X2... to be transmitted in response to single polling are determined by the line buffer capacity of a transmitter- receiver and text lengths X1, X2... of texts X1, X2... are divided into blocks 1, B2... to constitute one text. Then, one text is provided with text start character STX and transmission end character EOT, and one block character is also provided characters SOB and EOB for the start and end of each block, and check character BCC; and a block where an error occurs is transmitted being incorporated in a following block to improve transmission efficiency within the extent of buffer capacity.
