Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the lithographic printing material of good ink pickup, less print ing stains and high print resisting power by containing the specific poly-functional synthetic copolymer and the specific maleic anhydride copolymer, metal salts and functional reactant. CONSTITUTION:The functional synthetic copolymer of formulas 1, 2 having groups A having affinity to physical developing nuclei (such as Pt, etc.) and hydrophiling active groups B, the copolymer (degrees of polymerization 35 to 3500) of ethylene base unsaturated organic polymer having no groups A and maleic anhydride, the organic and inorganic metal salts of periodic law table IB, IIA groups, etc. and the poly-functional reactant (ethylene diamine, etc.) of the formula Z-(A)k-Z(Z is amino. etc., A is divalent groups, K is positive integer) are added in the layer containing physical developing nuclei or its adjoining layers. The use of the metal salts and poly-functional reactant together with the foregoing both copolymers makes bonding of the copolymers to printing plate surfaces firmer and enables higher print resisting power to be obtained.
