Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a device for being comparatively small and light, for being of a simple structure and excellent in an economical efficiency, and especially for being suitable for vehicles equipped with no negative pressure generating source, by doubling a brake pedal force resulting from the use of compressed air.
CONSTITUTION: When braking is performed by stepping on a brake pedal 7, a power piston 6 is pushed by virtue of a hydraulic power of a pressurizing chamber 14 to move to a master cylinder 11 ahead of a valve 9 due to that a hydraulic functioning area of the power piston 6 is larger than that of the valve 9, and the valve 9 functions following the movement of the piston 6. This causes a light pedalling pressure to double the brake pressure. In the case of the pedalling pressure of the brake pedal 7 being reduced, the power piston 6 follows smothly in the wake of the movement of the valve 9 by virtue of the energizing force of a return spring 5.
