Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease a loss stroke volume of one master cylinder being troubled and simultaneously to reduce an operating power of the other master cylinder, by constituting twin master cylinders so that the movement of one end of an equalizer can be limited in the case of one system of the twin master cylinders being troubled.
CONSTITUTION: A concave portion 15 which receives the end of a pushing rod 14 is provided at a center of one side of an equalizer 13, pressing portions 13a and 13b positioned at opposite sides of the concave portion 15 being placed so taht said pressing portions 13a and 13b are in press contact with piston rods 7a and 8a, respectively. Opposite ends 13c and 13d of the equalizer 13 are located so that they stretch further outward from cylinder bores 5 and 6. When only a piston 7 moves as a result of an operating power being input from a pushing rod 14 in a condition that a hydraulic system of, say, a master cylinder 5 is troubled, the one end 13c of the equalizer 13 is hooked in an end surface of the cylinder, i.e., a furtherest inner portion 4a of a concave part 4 whereinto the equalizer enters. This causes the movement of said one end to be limited.
