Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the title compsn. safely and cheaply without a drying process by granulating a dehydrated cake contg. potassium hypochlorite dehydrate crystals and salt in a specified ratio and mixing the granules with potassium hypochlorite contg. a specified amt. or more of available chlorine.
CONSTITUTION: An aq. slurry based on potassium hypochlorite dihydrate crystals is blended with salt crystals of about 30W250μ grain size in an amt. of 0.7W1.5 parts per part of potassium hypochlorite crystals. This slurry is then dehydrated with a centrifugal separator, a press machine or the like and granulated to form granules contg. 23W30% of water and exhibiting high self-extinguishability. 10W 20% of the granules is mixed with potassium hypochlorite granules contg. 70% or more of available chlorine and 4% or less of water to obtain a flame-resisting potassium hypochlorite compsn. contg. 5W10% of water and 60W70% of available chlorine.
