Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure rotor current accurately through a simple construction by an arrangement wherein a field current is carried to a given winding ring provided on a rotary shaft and a detection core having a hole element is provided on the fixed side oppositely to the winding ring. CONSTITUTION:An armature winding 5 of AC exciter, a rotary rectifier 4 and a field winding 3 are provided on the same rotary shaft to constitute a rotor for brushless rotary machine. A core unit 10d of a winding ring 10 with two grooves arranged on the outer periphery is provided on the rotary shaft, and windings 10a, 10b connected in series and arranged in the reverse direction each other are provided in the two grooves. And for example, a part of field current obtained through a shunt provided midway between the field winding 3 and the rotary rectifier is carried to the windings 10a, 10b, a magnetic flux is generated in the closed magnetic circuit formed by the winding ring 10 and a detection core 8 provided on the fixed side oppositely to the winding ring, the magnetic flux is detected by a hole element 8a provided on the detection core 8, and thus an output voltage proportional to the rotor current is obtainable.
