Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure the application for both the linear and nonlinear phase characteristics by replacing the delay circuit of the noncirculation-type digital filter with the block which features the absolute value of 1 and can vary the phase characteristics. CONSTITUTION:The input signal given from terminal 14 is supplied to 1st adder 15 as well as to 2nd adder 17 through fixed multiplier 16 of the +1 or -1 coefficient. The output of adder 17 is supplied to adder 15 through variable multiplier 18 of multiplier (a) as well as to 3rd adder 21 through fixed multiplier 19 of the +1 or -1 coefficient. The output of adder 15 is supplied to adders 17 and 21 through delay unit 22 which gives the delay of one sampling period of the input signal, and the output of adder 21 is supplied to output terminal 23. This block is used for the delay circuit of the noncirculation-type digital filter to vary multiplier (a) of multiplier 18, and as a result the filter characteristics varies toward the frequency axis. Thus a variable filter can be realized with both the linear and nonlinear phase characteristics.
