Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect an abnormal surface of a cable, etc., definitely by detecting variation in interaval between opposite rollers by a sensor.
CONSTITUTION: Two pairs of rollers 3a and 3b, and 4a and 4b are rotatably provided opposing mutually. A clearance between opposite rollers is used for the passage of cable 1, and the opposite rollers are pressed by springs 5 and 6 against cable 1; and roller 3b is fixed in position and other rollers are allowed to move vertically. On support axis 8 of roller 3b, sensor 11 is provided which can rotates, and variation in interval between opposite rollers is detected by sensor 11.
