Abstract
PURPOSE:To stabilize the weld quality and save welding time and electric power, by supplying power while comparing the stored reference welding conditions with the actual welding conditions, and stopping power supply when the predetermined conditions are sufficed. CONSTITUTION:An inter-electrode voltage signal is fed from a terminal 5 to a waveform shaping circuit 7a to remove noise and undesired elements, and is sent to an arithmetic circuit 8. A welding current signal is fed from an ammeter 6 to a waveform shaping circuit 7b to remove noise and undesired elements, and is sent also to the arithmetic circuit 8. The reference pattern of changes in the resistance in correspondence with the time of the weld zone is stored in a reference pattern memory circuit 10, which is read out in synchronism with the power supplying time, and is compared with the resistance processed in the arithmetic circuit 8 in a comparator circuit 11 to monitor the weld state and check the completion of welding, thereby delivering signal from 12. Thus, since welding is performed while measuring variables closely related to the weld quality in process, the quality may be controlled adequately.
