Abstract

PURPOSE: To make hardling easy by miniaturizing an apparatus by forming dialysis material from a membrane support and a membrane which covers the support all over the surface and laminating the dialysis material to form a blood chamber and a dialysis liquid chamber.
CONSTITUTION: Dialysis liquid is supplied through a plurality of grooves 8 provided at the end part of a membrane support 2. The dialysis liquid is passed through openings 8 in the form of slit and grooves 7 arranged at other side of the grooves 9. Then the dialysis liquid is passed through slit-form openings 6 constituting a distributing header, and distributed to the both sides of the membrane support 2. The dialysis liquid is introduced into a dialysis liquid chamber 5 formed by a membrane 3 and the membrane supporting zone of the membrane support 2. Blood is introduced from one end of crease of a membrane in groove 10 into a blood chamber 4 where the blood is purified through the membrane 3 by the action of the dialysis liquid. The groove 10 is formed by a rising member 12 on the edge of the membrane support 2. The blood chamber is formed between adjacent membranes along slit-form openings 6.
