Abstract

PURPOSE: To give an easy correction to the unevenness in the main scanning direction with a simple constitution by using the luminous substance in which the luminous elements capable of controlling each luminous quantity for the light source which illuminates the transmission original of the plane scanning facsimile.
CONSTITUTION: The n-units of light emitting diodes L1∼Ln are arranged in a row in parallel to the reading part and along the main scanning direction. The luminous quantity of these light emitting diodes are controlled by the value of resistances R1∼Rn to give the overall evenness to the luminous quantity. When the luminous quantity properties due to the position of the scanning direction features like (a) in case the image formation is given to the photo detector at the original reading part through a unit of lens and with the above diode group used as the light sources, the luminous quantity of diodes L1∼Ln are controlled to properties (b).
