Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the resolution of a matrix type fluorescent display tube by coating the display light emitting fluorescent substances on the anode consisting of a member of conductive fine wires.
CONSTITUTION: The anode 7 is arranged facing the wall body 2 with specified intervals in the discharge space 6 and consists of a number of conductive fine wires which are projected in parallel arrangement status between the facing sections as the supporting bodies in which insulating frame bodies are separated. The display light emitting fluorescent substance is coated on each conductive fine wire of this anode 7. The electron emitted from the hot cathode 9 is controlled by the conductive fine wire of arbitrarily selected grid 10 and is caught by that of the arbitrarilt selected anode 7. Consequently, the fluorescent substance in the anode 7 is emitted in specified colors.
