Abstract

PURPOSE: To maintain the sufficient internal pressure even in the case of decreased contents, and to improve the spray pattern, by using an organic carbonate as a solvent or auxiliary in the aerosol composition sprayed with carbonic acid gas.
CONSTITUTION: An organic carbonate, preferably dimethyl or diethyl carbonate, is used as a solvent or auxiliary in the aerosol composition sprayed with carbonic acid gas. The use of a nonreactive solvent, e.g. petroleum hydrocarbon, as an auxiliary solvent is advantageous. The carbonate should not be used for a spray agent containing acidic or alkaline substances because of the tendency of reaction and deterioration.
USE: Fungicides, insecticides, detergents, rust preventives, anti-fogging agents, cosmetics, and medicines.
