Abstract
PURPOSE: To make the reuse of expensive gitter brick possible, by measuring a drop in temperature of gitter brick at plural points and controlling cooling draft so as to be cooling and shrinking speed in allowable limits at the time of suspending hot stove operation.
CONSTITUTION: Temperature is measured at plural points in height direction of gitter brick of hot stove and quantity of cooling draft is controlled so as to be within the limits of expected collapse curve (allowable cooling speed) obtained by the past operation data preliminary and at the same time, quantity of the draft is controlled so as to be really measured shrinkage speed of the gitter brick within the limits of allowable shrinkage speed obtained by the formula I (RK: shrinkage rate, T: temperature, ΔT: cooling speed). Thus, collapse of brick after suspending at repairing time of the hot stove, is prevented and reutilization is made possible.
