Abstract

PURPOSE: To attain accurate time detection by measuring the length of the continuation of a time signal and its interval by a reference signal and also by removing a transient distortion component by providing a blind interval near the fall of the time signal.
CONSTITUTION: A sound signal including a time signal is inputted to input terminal IN and a circuit formed of flip-flops 1 and 2, counter 5, and gates 6W8 discriminates whether its continuation is equivalent to fixed length or not. Further, a circuit consisting of counter 9, flip-flops 10W12, and gates 13 and 14 measure the interval of signals and a blind interval where a generated transient distortion signal is insensitive is provided near the fall of the time signal so as to make a decision on a time signal pattern. Therefore, the transient distortion signal exerting an influence upon the decision on the time pattern is eliminated and digital desitions are made possible, so that accurate time detection can be achieved.
