Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a boiler, in which ignition of fuel is done by spark discharge, from causing adverse effect to other equipments, by lowering noise potential in such a manner as to lead noise in a boosting transformer from a primary winding to a metallic outer case through a capacitor.
CONSTITUTION: When switches 6 and 7 are closed on the basis of the predetermined sequence by turning ON an operating switch 2, spark is generated in a discharge gap section 9 by a boosting transformer 8, and combustion is started by operations of an electromagnetic pump 10 and a solenoid valve 11. In the boosting transformer 8 of such a boiler, one or both of a capacitor 17 and 18 are connected to an iron core 16 from both ends of a primary winding 13. A noise electrical energy generated in the discharge gap section 9 is led to the boiler main body 20 through a metallic outer case so that the noise potential is lowered. A noise of frequency region caused by noise potential between lines 14 and 15 and an earth 22 is attenuated by a capacitor 21.
