Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the construction suited for high speed copying by providing two sheets of scanning mirrors which condense the luminous fluxes given from a plurality of stationary light sources to the same point on the original plane and the lenses which are movable in the same direction at the same speed as said scanning mirrors.

CONSTITUTION: Stationary light sources 3, 3' form the optical paths of a fixed angle to an original platen 1 and are so constituted as to condense light to the different points on the same plane as the original plane 2. A scanning mirror 4 is placed perpendicualary to the original face and reciprocates parallel from nearly the right end of the original platen 1 up to the alternate-long-and- two-short-dashes-line position and the scanning mirror 4' from nearly the center of the original platen up to the alternate-long-an-two-short-dashes-line position. Light from the stationary light sources 3, 3' radiates the original platen 2 by way of the scanning mirrors 4, 4' respectively and the reflected light thereof images the original image on the photoreceptor 6 by the lenses 5, 5'. The moving distance of the scanning mirror 4, 4' is about half the original face length. Hence, the moving speed of the scanning mirrors 4, 4' becomes about half the speed of the scanning light of the original plane 2. Hence, the moving mass of the scanning mirrors, etc. become smaller and the construction suited for high speed copying is made possible.
