Abstract

PURPOSE: To effificently double the illumination of light information to be radiated to the photoreceptor by so arranging the apparatus that the luminous fluxes of the light information are superposedly radiated to the photoreceptor through a plurality of optical paths.
CONSTITUTION: Scanning type exposure device 1 includes the 1st to 8th plane mirrors 6 thru 13 and one imaging through-lens system. The plane mirrors 6, 7 are combined to roof type and are made integrally movable. The luminous flux reflected by the mirror 6 enters the first face on the left side of the lens system 14 after having been reflected by the mirror 8. This flux further transmits toward the second face on the right side. The light is further directed by the mirrors 10, 13 to an exposure device to radiate a photoreceptor 2. The luminous fiux reflected by the mirror 7 is reflected by the mirror 9, then entners the second face of the lens system 14 and further transmits toward the first face. This luminous flux is led by the mirrors 11, 12 to radiate the exposure position of the photoreceptor 2. These two optical paths are invariably maintained of their optical path lengths to the photoreceptor 2 and their incident angle to each optical element during scanning of the original O. As a result, the light images are double radiated superposedly on the photosensitive surface, thus the illumination to the photoreceptor may be doubled without increasing of power for lighting originals.
