Abstract

PURPOSE: To scan a framed picture recording material and convert it to two-dimensional display picture signals while feeding it continuously by using a rotaty polyhedral reflection mirror as a light polarizer and combining this mirror and a one-dimensional photo sensor to constitute a picture conversion unit.
CONSTITUTION: The light flux of point light source 1 is caused to pass through condenser lens 2, pin hole 3a of pin hole plate 3 and collimate lens 4, and parallel light flux A is incident onto rotary polyhedral reflection mirror 5. Light flux B reflected by reflection face 51 of mirror 5 is caused to pass through cylindrical lens system 6 and is incident onto framed film F. Lignt flux B is condensed only in the vertical direction by lens system 6 and is focused onto the film as line image IH. Light flux C passed through film F passes through cylindrical lens 7, which has a property to condense a light in a direction orthogonal to lons system 6, and spherical lens 8 and is incident onto photo detector 9. Photo detector 9 is constituted by providing three one-dimensional sensor arrays 10R, 10G and 10B and filters 11R, 11G and 11B which are placed just before the arrays above and permit red, green and blue single colors to pass through. Therefore, even if line image IH is moved from I1H∼I2H, the light flux irradiates the whole of detector 9 continuously.
