PURPOSE:To prevent generation of beat signals by sampling intermediate frequency signals with stereophonic signals and feeding back the sampling output to a local oscillator and setting the intermediate frequency to an integral multiple of the sub- carrier. CONSTITUTION:Intermediate frequency signals of the input of frequency discriminator 7 are sampled in 9 with sub-carrier signal 38kHz obtained by stereophonic demodulator 8, and the sampled output is fed back to local oscillator 4 through LPE10 and DC amplifier 11, and the intermidiate frequency is set to an integral multiple of 38kHz. Consequently, even in case that intermediate frequency signals are mixed into composite signals, beat signals are prevented from being generated in the demodulation output.
