Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a carburetor controlling system, which is capable of controlling operation of an idle compensator and a temperature controlled acceleration pump by a single temperature-sensitive control valve means, so that it is enabled to reduce the number of component parts and to facilitate operation of assembling carburetor to the engine.
CONSTITUTION: A temperature-sensitive control valve means 14 for controlling the amount of fuel discharged from acceleration pump 6 on the basis of air temperature around the engine is provided at a portion of control passage 15 connecting outlet passage 10 and float chamber 5, in the manner capable of varying the area of return passage 15a extending from passage 15 to float chamber 5, that is, decreasing the area when the air temperature around the engine is high but increasing the area when the temperature is low. This control valve means 14 is arranged to be capable of also controlling operation of an idle compensator. That is, air passage 16 for the idle compensator is kept in communication when temperature is high, whereas it is kept out of communication when temperature is low. This is attained by the function of idle compensator valve 20 and valve 19 for controlling the amount of fuel discharged from acceleration pump 6 which are disposed along the axis of rod 18 that is moved back and forth through expansion of contraction of wax pellet 17.
