Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve characteristics and efficiency, by accurately holding relative locations between a stator and a moving piece, i.e. the scale teeth of the stator and the slider teeth of the moving piece, at intervals of fixed minute void.
CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a stator 11 with a plurality of scale teeth 12 arranged at regular intervals in the longitudinal direction and a moving piece 16 with a plurality of slider teeth 26∼29 facing to the scale teeth at intervals of minute voids. The scale teeth 12 are formed in such a manner that parallel grooves 13 are each bored to a plane, which faces to the moving piece 16, of the stator 11 in shapes that part at fixed spacing d from both side edges. Since the upper surfaces of the guide portions 14, 15 of the both flanks of the scale teeth 12 and the upper surfaces of the scale teeth 12 are made up on the same plane, both surfaces can simultaneously be cutting- and polishing-worked, thus easily producing the high accuracy of finishing. Consequently, void among the slider teeth 26∼29 of the moving piece 16 guided by means of the guide portions 14, 15 and the scale teeth 12 of the stator 11 can precisely be manufactured in fixed dimensions. Thus, its characteristics and efficiency can be improved.
