Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the clamp response speed for the synchronous isolation when the switching is given from the signal featuring a high APL (average picture level) to the signal of a low APL by constituting the clamp circuit, which isolates the synchronous signal from the video signal, with the transistor. CONSTITUTION:The isolation device consists of the following component elements: input terminal 11 of the video signal; transistor 12 featuring the switching action; diodes 13 and 16; differential amplifier 14 which carries out the potential comparison for isolation of the synchronous signal based on the potential decided with the DC-clamped video signal and variable resistance 11; retriggerable monostable oscillator 15 of time constant T which is driven by the rise of the synchronous signal; output terminal 17; input terminal 18 for the signal applied to amplifier 14; constant voltage source 19 and others. In such constitution, the clamp response speed can be increased in switching from the high-APL signal to the low-APL signal without increasing the sag, thus ensuring the synchronous isolation with the excellent characteristics.
