Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable quick feeding without abnormal vibration, by providing a higher-order lag circuit in a smoothing circuit for applying an instruction output from an instruction circuit to a position control loop which generates a reference input for moving a machine shaft.
CONSTITUTION: A smoothing circuit 12 is provided between an instruction circuit 11 and a phase control loop 13. The smoothing circuit 12 belongs to a type of G(S)=F/(1+TS)n, namely, is a higher-order lag circuit. Parameters are divided into the exponent n, which is one of factors that determine the acceleration, and the time constant T which determines the time of positioning. As a result, the change in a speed command at the time of changeover of the output of the instruction circuit 11, namely, the acceleration can be limited below a prescribed value. This enables quickly feeding a heavy machine tool without causing abnormal vibration.
