Abstract

PURPOSE: To make molds on the top and bottom surfaces of a match plate and improve efficiency by mechanically operating all of mold makings on a table.
CONSTITUTION: After a match plate 7 is positioned to the drag flask 9 placed on a table 5, an upper flask 8 is combined to the upper part thereof to form an assembly 6. Next, the assembly 6 is moved upward and turned over to bring the upper flask 8 to the upper part, then it is lowered and placed on the table 5. Thence, casting sand 14 is packed in the space of the drag flask 9 and rate of packing is increased by vertically vibrating the table 5 until it becomes flush to the top surface of the drag flask 9, after which a molding board 13 is placed to seal the opening of the drag flask 9. Now, the assembly 6 is moved upward and is turned over to bring its upper flask 8 to the upper part, then it is lowered and placed on the table 5. Following to this, the casting sand 14 is packed in the space of the upper flask 8 and the upper flask is pushed up to a squeeze board 10' by way of the molding board 13 to compact the casting sand 14, after which it is lowered. Next, the upper flask 8 is moved upward to be detached from the match plate 7, after which the match plate 7 is moved upward to be parted from the drag flask 9.
