Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce COD component in a treated water (to about 10mg/l or less) through removal of N-S compound and dithionic acid in waste water from desufurization-denitrification waste gas treatment by the process of scauenging, adsorption and removal using weakly basic ion exchange resin (WBR) and strongly basic anion exchange resin (SBR).
CONSTITUTION: Waste gas grom desufurization and denitrification process is passed through dust collector 1, oxidizing unit 2, cleaner 3 and treated by solid- liquid separtor 4 to produce blow-waste water. Such waste water is sand-filtered by the filter process 6, adjusted in pH using a pH conditioner, and treated by the biochemical nitrification-denitrification process 7 to permit NH4 +, NO2 -, and NO3 - to be reduced to N2. Then, the water undergoes the coagulation-sedimentation process 8 to remove suspended material, and treated by the ion-exchange process 9 at a flow rate of SV 5W20 to remove 2N-S compounds and dithionic acid by adsorption. The treated waster is discharged and flowed.
