Abstract

PURPOSE: To make possible accurate measurement of radial distributions, etc. of in- furnace charges by fixing the root end of a sectional rectangular form core which is plunged in the blast furnace core direction to a base barrel flange, placing and fixing a bundle of conduits along the outside circumferential length direction of the core with said core as a nucleus and extending these to the lengths corresponding to respective measurement points.
CONSTITUTION: The root end of a core 6 to be plunged in the blast furnace core direction is fixed to the flange of a root barrel 5 and a bundle of conduits 9a thru h are placed and fixed along the outside circumference of the core 6. The lengths of the respective conduits are so arranged as to corresponde to the respective measurement points of the in-furnace charges. Sizing wires are inserted into the conduits 9a thru h and measuring weights 11a thru h are fitted to the wire ends. The upper part of the root part side of the conduits are covered with a protection hood 10 over the required length.
