Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure the simple and accurate measurement for the effective inner diameter at each point of the buried tube by putting the unit possessing the mechanism which can expand and contract to the diameter direction and along the inner diameter of the buried tube into the buried tube and then shifting the unit.
CONSTITUTION: Pulling I bolt 11 is attached to the front part of case 9 incorporating differential transformer 10. And the expansion mechanism is formed with several numbers of expansion arm 15 plus expnasion arm 16 with tappet along with intervention of expansion connector 14. Then core 18 of transformer 10 is displaced according to the change of the inner diameter, and the signals are extracted through cable 4. With the node point of connector 14, each arm can be expanded and contracted in the same amount and toward the diameter so that arm 15 of the 6 directions may be turned into an inscribed circle. As a result, the effective inner diameter can be measured in a simple and accurate way.
