Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize ternary communication using marks, spaces and zero, by a circuit constitution which has input terminals insulated from the earth and provides simple balance-imbalance signal boltage conversion with exterme fidelity. CONSTITUTION:When mark data signals are applied to input terminals 30 and 31 insulated from the earth, a current at either terminal, e.g. 31 flows to input terminal 30 by way of resistance 32, diode 33, the center tap of the primary winding of transformer 34, diodes 35 and 36 providing switching operation by branching into two, both terminals of the secondary winding of transformer 37, and its center tap, thereby tuning diode switches 35 and 36 ON. Therefore, an alternating current, the output of oscillator 38, is transferred to transformer 34 by way of transformer 37, and diode switches 35 and 36 and further converted into a direct current through rectifier circuit 39, so that a data signal output of plus polarity will be sent out from output terminal 41 to the earth through resistance 40.
