Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase brake power by converting a drag action of friction pads, generated inevitably upon braking, into an oscillating force of a caliper, coupled to a support axle with a multiple thread screw, in a direction in which the brake power is generated.
CONSTITUTION: When hydraulic pressure is delivered into an oil chamber 9, a piston 8 is forwarded in a cylinder 7 and a friction pad 10 is pushed against a disk 1. In this case, a support axle 3, arranged and fixed so as to be in tangential direction at an outer location of a diameter of a rim portion of the disk 1, and a caliper 2, fitted and screwed to the axle 3 by a multiple thread scfew 4, are moved toward a direction shown by an arrow sign B, thereby, another friction pad 11 is pushed against the disk 1, and thus, a brake power may be obtained. The friction pad 10 is dragged toward the rotating direction when pushed against the disk 1, thereby, a movement toward the same direction is generated in the caliper 2 held by the friction pad 10, and thus an oscillation, in a direction in which the brake power is generated, is caused by the multiple thread screw 4.
