Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide water gate which is automatically opened or closed in response to flow rate of river stream so as to regulate rotation of water wheel which drives power generator, and is automatically closed in response to decreased flow rate of river stream in drought season to serve as reservoir dam.
CONSTITUTION: Liftable water gate 2 located upstream water wheel 3 which drives electric motor is lited and lowered automatically in response to variation of flow rate of river stream by means of its driving power 6 so as to adjust amount of water flowing into the water wheel 3 of which rotation is thereby regulated. However, in drought season, water rate of the river stream is detected by detectors SW1 and SW2 which control water gate 2 so as to have it closed in order to store water of the river stream.
