CONSTITUTION:A couple of electrode fingers 23 are formed between electrode fingers 21 projecting from bus bar 20 to the other bus bar 22 are formed at an even interval. Higher-harmonic generating strength can be veried by varying electrode width (a). At least either one of electrodes is operated with a fundamental frequency 1/2n as high as desired frequency (f0) to obtain an elastic surface wave filter which operates on a higher harmonic of its even order in a broad range. Further, at least either one of input and output electrodes is made into three-electrode constitution to widen its band. In addition, this device can also be miniaturized because only a couple of electrodes are required for each band.
