Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve a frequency-temperature characteristic with one vibrator and make a piezo-vibrator small-size by providing exciting electrodes for fundamental wave and higher harmonic on one and the other main faces of the tuning-fork piezo-vibrator respectively. CONSTITUTION:On one main face, electrodes 10a and 10b are provided in the edge and the center of one vibration arm 9a respectively, and electrodes 10b and 10a are provided in the edge and the center of the other vibration arm 9b, and electrodes 10a and electrodes 10b are connected to each other respectively. A fundamental wave exciting electrode is arranged on this main face. Electrodes are arranged on the other main face so that directions of effective electric fields may be opposite at the boundary of a part of l2=0.7l-0.8l from the free end of the vibration arm when the length of vibration arms 9a and 9b is denoted as l. A secondary higher harmonic exciting electrode is arranged on this main face.
