Abstract

PURPOSE: To effect easier manufacturing and reduction in size and weight by providing low voltage windings and common high voltage winding around two cores disposed in parallel and using one low voltage winding around the first core as parent winding and the other low voltage winding around the second core as child winding.
CONSTITUTION: Two cores 4, 5 provided with low voltage windings 2, 3 respectively are disposed in parallel and adjacent to each other along the core laminated direction, and common high voltage winding 1 wound around a insulation tube 6 is provided around leg portions of the cores 4, 5 having no low voltage windings 2, 3. Then, one of the windings 2, 3 is used as parent winding to be connected with system protection relay and the other of windings 2, 3 as child winding to be connected with differential voltage relay. Thus, a uniform depth insulator is applicable for the insulation spacer interposed between the cores 4, 5, space between the leg portions of the cores 4, 5 for the winding 1 is reduced, and winding numbers and size of the winding 1 is also reduced. This enables to effect easier manufacturing and reduction in size and weight of the transformer.
