Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain permanent magnet material with high performance by forming magnet alloy made of Sm, Co, Cu, Fe and other selected elements such as Mn and making the ingot after casting have the composition at which Sm and transition metals form the single phase at 2:17 through head processing.
CONSTITUTION: Magnet alloy includes Sm, Cu, Fe, Co and other elements as fundamental ingredients at the following composition; 22.0≤Sm<24.0, 2.5≤Cu≤10.0, 5.0≤Fe≤18.0, 0.5≤M≤4.0 (where M is or are more than one selected among Mn, Si, Ti and others) and the rest of Co. By so doing, the ingot after casting more than 90vol% allows Sm and transition metals to form the single phase at approx. 2:17 through heat processing, thereby obtaining the permanent magnet material with high performance.
