Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize the cost reduction as well as increment of the flexibility for the facsimile device.
CONSTITUTION: Line buffer part (a) consists mainly of line buffer 3A and 4A, and stores temporarily picture information 1 given from the reading device to then read out the information in accordance with the processing velocity of the coding part. Microprocessor input part (b) comprises mainly run length counter 7A and reading control circuit 6A to supply the run length number, the synchronous signal showing the partitions with every line, the level signal of the picture information at that time, etc. into the microprocessor. Coding part (c) consists mainly of microprocessor 8A and then carries out encoding according to the run length and based on the coding program. Output buffer part (d) possesses the buffer function which commutates and delivers the coded data to MODEM in synchronization with the normal MODEM clock with use of the memory region of processor 8A.
