Abstract

PURPOSE: To directly recover NaOH from alkaline waste liquor contg. org. matter and Na salt by concentrating the liquor; introducing the conc. liquor into a fluidized bed furnace forming a Fe2O3 type fluidized bed; and reacting the Na salt and Fe2O3 while burning the org. matter.
CONSTITUTION: Raw material (a) for a desired product and NaOH from pipe (b) are treated in reaction/washing process 1, and reaction product (c) is separated into a product and alkaline waste liquor contg. org. matter in separation process 2. The liquor is concentrated 3 and introduced into fluidized bed furnace 4 forming a Fe2O3 type fluidized bed. On the other hand, circulating Fe2O3 is separated from NaOH in separation process 6, washed, supplied with Fe2O3 from pipe (j), dried 7, and returned to furnace 4. In furnace 4 the Na salt and the Fe2O3 are reacted simultaneously with combustion of the liquor. The combustion product is dissolved in warm water in dissolution process 5, forming NaOH and Fe2O3. This NaOH is made up and fed to process 1 through pipe (b).
