Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure the alarm time setting and others in an electronic way for the electronic watch with the alarm through a simple structure by counting the time required for the alarm setting via the counter and then controlling the resetting of the moving hand to the normal time display.

CONSTITUTION: Waveform compound circuit 24, which usually delivers the 1-second pulse via divider circuit 22, generates the quick setting forward turn pulse through alarm set/reset circuit 23. Thus the moving hand is set quickly by motor driving circuit 29 and step-motor circuit 31 to set the alarm time. And the time required for setting of the alarm time is counted by counter circuit 25, and the different quick set pulse sent from circuit 24 operating in response to the reset signal and also capable of reversing motor 31 is applied to circuit 29. Thus motor 31 is driven via circuit 25 and coincidence circuit 27 which decides the forward or backward turn, and the moving hand is reset to the normal time display without using any special element which detects the hand position. As a result, the easy and accurate setting of the alarm time as well as the resetting of the hand to the normal time after setting can be secured in an electronic way and through a simple structure.
