Abstract
PURPOSE: To decide the photo density with no development process as well as decide the fluorescent quantity based on the actual facts by detecting the fluorescent quantity or the via the detector featuring the same external shape as the X-ray cassette and the like and also calculating the photo density based on the fluorescent quantity.
CONSTITUTION: When the X-rays are irradiated to detector 5 featuring nearly the same external shape as the X-ray cassette or the X-ray film holding tool, intensifying screens 52 and 53 of detector 5 emit the fluorescence according to the irradiated X-rays. And the fluorescence is detected by fluorescent quantity detector 54 via optical guide plate 51. This detection output is integrated by operational amplifier 62 which gives the feedback connection to capacitor C through the switching of switch 67a of controller 6 to be changed into the signal corresponding to the fluorescent quantity. Thus the fluorescent quantity according to the actual facts is displayed on display unit 63. This detected fluorescent quantity is then applied to operator 65 to which the constant, the initial value constant and others are set according to the types of the X-ray films and through the selection of resistances 64aW64d. Thus the photo density is decided through the operation given based on the relation equation between the relative exposure value proportional to the fluorescent quantity and the photo density. In such way, the photo density according to the film type can be displayed on display unit 60 without any development process.
