Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to burn comparatively at a low temperature, such as less than 400 deg.C, not bringing hydrogen on flame combution at comparatively low price, by preparing Co-Mn base two element mixed oxide catalyst composed of 30-90 atomic % of cobalt. CONSTITUTION:Co and Mn are coprecipitated from mixed water solution of water soluble salt, such as Co and Mn nitrate etc., by using mixed water solution of neutralizing agent, such as alkali hydroxide and hepta valent Mn compound, such as potassium permanganate etc. Or, precipitate is obtained by reducing potassium permanganate by using organic compound, such as methanol etc., or inorganic compound of divalent Mn compound, such as manganese nitrate etc., by dispersing precipitated powdered MnO2 obtained by oxidizing Mn<++> by oxidizing agent, such as perchloric acid ion etc., or electrolysis MnO2 etc., in water solution of neutralizing agent, such as alkali hydroxide etc. and reacting with the water solution of water soluble Co salt. The precipitate containing 30-90 atomic % or Co, is washed and dried and then, is baked at 200-500 deg.C under the existence of air.
