Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate ground staining and to enable copy quality to be enhanced, by considering errors of superposition of a recording sheet on the object to be transferred in transfer, and setting additional magnification so as to ensure copying free of excess and deficiency from the image to be transferred.
CONSTITUTION: In copying a normal original of original length l, L/l=m, where copying magnification is m, and the length of the electrostatic latent image formed on a photoreceptor is L. But additional magnification Δm is set and the latent image length is made somewhat larger than the length defined by the normal magnification to give L/l=m+Δm. Additional magnification m is set to ensure copying free from excess image of the normal original, considering superposition errors of the sheet and the image in transfer, thus permitting ground staining to be eliminated and copy quality to be enhanced.
