Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize prompt and adequate working without requiring special measuring instruments or skilled workers, by mounting a shaft capable of sliding in the pipe axial direction, pressure device for one end, torch for the other end, and tracing device on truck capable of rotating the outer circumference of cut and fit pipes in the circumferential direction.

CONSTITUTION: A reuck 4 is mounted on a laid-down pipe 1 to be cut and fitted, so that a tracing roller 50 freely fitted to a shaft 46 may collide angainst the end face 2a of cut reference pipe of a pipe 2 to be connected. The degree of such collision is adjusted by a knob 44, and a nozzle 25 of torch B is positioned on the pipe 1 by adjusting with a knob 31. Furthermore, in order to place the groove at the specified angle to the pipe 1, the inserting angle of a fusion-cutting torch mounting shaft 26 with respect to fitting metal 20 is adjusted. When the pipe truck is rotated on the outer circumference of the pipe 1 in the circumferential direction, the roller 50 is moved by a slide shaft 11 which is pressurized by a coil spring 19, so that the tracing shaft 38 may be moved in the pipe axial direction. The torch, cooperating with the shaft 38, fuses and cuts the end part of the pipe by profiling the end face 2a with the nozzle 25, so that the pipe end face coinciding with the end face 2a may be formed.
