Abstract
PURPOSE: To make the corrugated sheet face from the degeneration of shape possible to be formed, by communicating one side of the cavity installed at the center of the intermediate roll possessing corrugated outer surface to the feed line for the heating fluid, and by communicating the ring groove formed in the axial direction of the intermediate roll to the sucking line through the ventilating path installed around the cavity.
CONSTITUTION: The liner 1 is formed into the corrugated sheet 1A by the engagement of two corrugate forming faces 2, 4 of the upper roll 3 possessing corrugated outer surface 2 and of the intermediate roll 5 possessing corrugated outer surface 4. Each top 1a of the corrugated sheet 1A is starched by the starching roll 6, and the liner 8 is applied to the top 1a through the press roll 7; hereby, the one side corrugated fiberboard 9 is obtained. Herupon, the steam generated in the heating fluid feeder 26 is sent from the pipe 25 into the cavity 22 through the feed line 23, and the drum 12 is uniformly heated; the heat and pressure are impressed during the corrugate forming work owing to the corrugate engagement, and the wrinkle of the corrugated sheet 1A is expanded; as a result, the degeration of shape is prevented. Meanwhile, the sucking force of the sucking device 41 acts on the sucking zone C of the ring groove 27 through the communicating path 29, the ventilating path 26, and the path 40; hereby, the currugated sheet 1A is closely fitted to the corrugated forming face 4.
