Abstract

PURPOSE: To accurately perform the relative position detection of the images by providing a signal time series means to supply time-serially the photoelectrically converted signals of photoelectric transducers to circuit means and alternately receiving the images by different paths in the photoelectric transducer means by switching means.
CONSTITUTION: The images of the object formed by the objective lenses 1, 2 disposed by leaving a suitable reference line distance are received in the photoelectric element groups 5, 6 having a plurality of photoelectric transducers, from which the electric signals corresponding to the respective illumination distributions are supplied to a curcuit means 9. These photoelectrically converted signals changeover the respective photoelectric elements by the operation of shift registers by making use of the electrical means which operate in response to electronic pulses like shift registers so that the images of the different routes are alternately received. By so adjusting the optical system that the relative positions of the images assume the specified relation, the focusing for the object is accomplished.
