Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable accurate color discrimination using the same kind of lenses by providing plural sensors corresponding to plural color components of an original and changing the position of lenses that forms an image on the sensor for each color component. CONSTITUTION:For the surface of an original 1, a sensor face 2 for reading cyan component and a lens 4, and a sensor face 3 for red component and a lens 5 are arranged making the distance to respective sensor face and lens different. At this time, a cyan component transmitting filter 6 is inserted in the image forming light path of the lens 4 and a red component transmitting filter 7 is inserted in the image forming light path of the lens 5. Accordingly, focal length is not equal even if the same kind of lenses are used. Magnification of image forming is equalized by making the ratio of distances between the surface of original 1 and lenses 4, 5 equal to the ratio of power for cyan component to power for red component of each lens.
