Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture the joint of dissimilar metals, durable against the severe working condition, by explosively jointing two metallic sheets on both sides of the metallic sheet provided with a tapered zone on one edge, at a length longer than the tapered zone.
CONSTITUTION: The edge 6 of the parent metal 3 on the side to be jointed to the clad materials 2, 2, is formed into a wedge type section, and the clad materials 2, 2, are placed on both sides leaving a gap.
